MacMaster died from a Group A streptococcal infection, at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on March 16, 2008. Additionally, MacMaster had been working on his own material. The group was planning on releasing music and playing shows. In recent years, MacMaster started a new project with Connecticut-based singer/songwriter Jimmy D of the band Emerald Monkey, dubbed Monkey-MacMaster. In 2005, Daniel released a solo album entitled Rock Bonham…And The Long Road Back which was re-issued by Suncity Records in 2006. In 2001, Daniel was looking to put a new project together, starting with locally accomplished guitarist Stefano Fantin, and a string of small club dates were performed in the Barrie area, though, due to musical differences, parted ways. With Bonham, he released two albums: 1989’s The Disregard of Timekeeping (which peaked at Number 38 on the Billboard charts) and 1992’s Mad Hatter. Sisters AnnMarie Caldwell and husband Andy of Woburn, MA. Living family, daughter and grandson Nicole MacMaster and Gage Maroni of Limerick, ME. Grandmother Anna Lauria, grandfather Daniel Pento both deceased, youmger brother Thomas McCue also deceased. Mother Beverly McCue, father Joseph MacMaster both deceased. His life was full of good people who cared deeply for Danny. Years later Danny would become a grandfather to a beautiful baby boy named gage, whom he adored. He was a jack of all trades and did everything to the best of his ability. Danny was an incredibly hard worker and was always giving friends and family a helping hand. He would come back to Maine months at a time to be with his daughter. Danny was divorced over a year later where he then moved to New York. He was a wonderful father that did everything with her. Doreen then moved to Maine where her and Danny would get married and have a baby girl in 1985. At age 22 while visiting his cousin Stephen in everett, MA he was introduced to Doreen MacDonald. After graduating the family moved to Maine where Danny worked with his stepfather on the farm with their small poultry business. He graduated Melrose High School in 1981. Growing up Danny enjoyed playing cards at the dining room table with friends and family, taking family trips to Canada, and playing with his brothers and sisters. At this time the family would move to Melrose. He and his family lived in Wakefield til Danny was approximately 9 years old. They were inseperable throughout their lives. Danny was closest to his older brother Joseph. With that many siblings there was never a dull moment. He was the fourth born out of five children. Daniel Joseph MacMaster AKA Danny, came into the world on December 29th, 1962 at Choate Hospital in Woburn, MA.
